And yes, I've seen the video. I know what it will do to a bro-truck.

Who cares? You'd have a V10 Diesel Suv and everybody else wouldn't. Plus that one doesn't look like it's been absolutely ravaged by small children and domestic animals. NP.

here is part of the problem:

these were bought by some rich guy who wanted to get his mistress something nice, but not TOO flashy, so he bought her the most expensive VW at the time. she then drove it for 2 years, not chaning the oil or doing any maintenance, until his wife found out, divorced, and he lost his money. then she moved on to the next guy.

if you can find a maintained one, they are pretty good. its the electronics ion that era of VW's that are ehh. the motor? friggen tanks.

They are that unreliable. Possibly worse.

It's still worth it. Four wheel burnouts in a luxury suv are amazingly fun.

Take a gamble my friend: 'it's better to have loved and lost (a lot of $$) that not have loved at all' and you'll be ready when gas prices climb back up. Looks nice, check the carfax, bring a VAGCOM to do a read.

Yeah, the electronics are somewhat shared with the Phaeton, but parts are plenty available. Although something tells me service will require dealer, don't know if VW independent shops can do the mid-complex maintenance on the V10, so caveat emptor...

V10 TDI = NP or NP or WTF is wrong with you, didn't you hear- VW V10 TDI?

As a diesel it needs neither oil nor electrics, and therefore is immune from its own VWness. NP.
